Butch Cassidy, 1866
Garry Kasparov, 1963
Turns out the date has produced many noted figures of genius. And at least as many known for their schlock appeal.
Happy Birthday DJ Pegleg ... the perfect blend.
unfocused. unfashionable. unforgiving. unframed.

Waiting for the Pegleg photo to appear....
Thank you very much for the well wishes, although I'm not sure how you can get the peabo without pulling down the Reverend Al Green.
Sorry it took me so long to get to this, but I've been actually *gasp* working, as well as just running around in general.
my bad.
Al Green didn't come up in my half-ass search. Sorry.
But it's more fun to list some of the B-list names anyway.
I've got Jesus, Sir Isaac Newton, Clara Barton, Cab Calloway, Humphrey Bogart, Anwar Sadat and Shane MacGowan ... but then there's Robert Ripley, Barbara Mandrell, Little Richard, Sissy Spacek, Rickey Henderson, Annie Lennox & Dido. Hmmmm ... nah, it looks like my birthday produced a richer batch of blood no matter how you slice it.
you're right, xmas does look nice. But on the personal, straight in my heartness of it all, nothing beats TJ and AG
How can you beat Frank Sinatra, Dionne Warwick, Gustave Flaubert, Sheila E., Edward G. Robinson, the chick who played Blossom, Cathy Rigby (a gymnast who made tampon ads in the '70s), and, oh, me?
But happy belated birthday anyway, djpegleg!
I just discovered I've got Quentin Crisp on my list. Nice.
Regardless, Jesus, Bogie & Shane beats Jefferson & Al. Sorry.
