Regardless, I'm past that. What I'm not past is appreciating good music. Reveling in what it is that makes me a music compulsive. Readers of unframed (both of you) and people trapped in my sphere of music influence can attest that I've been a champion of this band for years. I have a really hard time coming up with names when I try to figure out who the Gossip's challengers as best band currently in existence are. They are IT, and it, is where it's at.
Imagine my surprise then, when while perusing the AV Club, I saw that there was a new Gossip release. Turns out it was only a live album, which I'm no fan of. Luckily, I actually read the review and found out that a DVD of the show was included in the package. Cha-ching! Available at Amazon for ten bucks. Cha-ching! Even though I was liquidating my entire CD collection, I couldn't resist. And I'm glad I didn't. The Gossip live are a force and I was never able to share that experience with my family or friends who hadn't had a chance to see them. It's not the same as being there, but it was pretty fucking close.
So, if I've ever had any impact on your music appreciation, if any of my mixes have ever made your day better, hell, simply if you know what's good for you; GO BUY THIS NOW! You will not regret it, and like I said it's only ten dollars. Man, you'd spend more than that on a forty of OE and a pack of smokes.
GO BUY IT NOW. And crank it all the way up.

great photo!
Sold. I'll buy it.
Gossip Live in Liverpool came this afternoon from amazon along with two books I couldn't resist. And I'm listening to the cd right now (I didn't snow you when I said I was sold). Blues + punk + some big girl singing her heart out. I'm looking forward to popping in the dvd but I must get offline and put on the headphones and the volume to as loud as possible right away. Then I will know how much I dig these guys.
