Put On Yer Thinkin' Caps

It's been too long since I've posed a puzzle. And the blog wonders if there are minds still churning out there. Or even if a cobweb could be swept aside. This one comes from Jonathan Swift, satirist and author of Gulliver's Travels, as well as one of my faves, A Modest Proposal. He's so clever it isn't even funny.

We are very little creatures; all of us have different features. One of us in glass is set; one of us you'll find in jet. Another you may see in tin, and a fourth is boxed within. If the fifth you should pursue, it can never fly from you. What are we?
