The Perfect Gift?

I sure as hell don't have everything. But this is the gift for someone who does ... or me.

If you are a collector this is a must have. Be the first to get your Very Own Custom Candy Headz that looks like you or anything you could ever want !!! Custom Candy Headz that can be made to look like anything you can imagine.

Okay, for $299.99. So maybe this isn't for me after all. But I happen to have a rather substantial Pez collection. Not like some Pez fanatics (they're crazy) but a modest fan. This may be the result of a childhood friend who had all the cool Barbies and the Barbie townhouse and 2 Barbie cars and the Barbie bathroom and Ken and Skipper and all the stylish clothes and accoutrements, etc. She had her own play house outside. It had little plastic cans of soup and vegetables and a fully-working simulated kitchen. Escoffier via PlaySkool. And a cool sandbox with big-ass Tonka trucks. And a Radioflyer wagon which we once backed over while sitting in her mother's Beetle. And a toboggan upon which we once nearly killed ourselves sledding down her precipitous driveway into an oncoming Nova. One of those girls who had all the things we didn't ... and loads of Pez dispensers. And she wasn't big on sharing.

Would it make me a narcissist to say I wanted a Pez dispenser sculpted into my likeness? Probably. Would I love one anyway? Yes.

But if you're not into Pez maybe you'd like a Star Trek action figure with the body and wardrobe of Captain Kirk but with the head of ... you. These will set you back $425.00 for the custom talking action figure. A bit less for the non-talking variety. But, hell, if you're buying a Star Trek action figure for yourself or your best mate you might as well go all out. I often use the phrase "Make it so, Number One" in my best Picard ... it usually goes unnoticed. Maybe it would make sense coming out of my Wednesday as Jean-Luc figurine.

These artisans also create regular every-day run-of-the-mill action figures, military action figures, sports action figures and a few other "what the heck?" figures. Send them the photos and dimensions and your credit card number and you might be the hero of someone's birthday party. Pricey but one of a kind. http://herobuilders.com/index.htm

By the way, my birthday is coming right up. Ten months and a few days ...
