Tell The World

I know it's been a long while since I've posted. I haven't had much to say, and, or, I've been busy with stuff that I don't want to geek out on in this most public of spaces (although five readers isn't all that public.) Regardless, I got news that I can't keep to myself. I'm ready to burst with pride. My second grader got tested today for the gifted program. The cut-off on the WISC-4 IQ test was 130 and he scored a 135. He was also in the 94 percentile for his age group on a critical thinking test. Other results:
  • Math Calculation - Late 2nd Grade
  • Math Fluency - Late 2nd Grade
  • Reading - Late 4th Grade
  • Writing Fluency - Early 5th Grade
  • Applied Problems - Early 5th Grade
  • Reading Fluency - Late 5th Grade
  • Spelling - Late 5th Grade
  • Writing Samples - Late 8th Grade
  • Comprehension - Late 8th Grade
Man, I'm getting all misty-eyed just typing this out. I'm so proud of him, I can't even begin to articulate what I'm feeling. My son's the man. M to the A to the N. MAN! Mad props to the Leprecano* for stepping to the plate when the game was on the line. Too bad he got his mama's penmanship, however.
